Morgenster’s safety is surveyed by Register Holland and the Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate. She sails with two different safety certificates:

-    Special Purpose Ship as a sail training vessel for up to 36 trainees with world wide trading area.
-    EU 98/18 passenger certificate for daytrips up to 90 passengers limited to 12 miles off shore.

Very important attention is given to the structural fire protection. The ER is protected by a Extinguise Gas Installation. Though the accommodation boarding is made of incombustible material, the accommodation is sprinkler protected. All decks are fire insulated to provide secure evacuation routes.
